Force Majeure
If NCBJ is prevented from carrying out its obligations to the registrants to conduct its 2024 conference as a result of any issue beyond its control, or the conference cannot be conducted virtually because of software or issues with the hosting platform or due to Acts of God, strikes, labor disputes, government requisitions or restrictions or war or apparent act of war, terrorism, disaster, civil disorder, epidemic or pandemic, curtailment or restriction on transportation facilities or any other comparable calamity, casualty or condition making it impossible or impracticable to hold the 2024 conference or any part thereof (each of the foregoing, a “Force Majeure”), NCBJ shall have the right to immediately terminate all or any portion of the 2024 conference without liability and shall be relieved of its obligations to all registrants. NCBJ reserves the sole right to determine if undelivered educational content can reasonably be delivered by alternative arrangements. If the 2024 NCBJ conference is terminated due to a Force Majeure occurrence, NCBJ will reschedule a similar all-virtual event either through NCBJ or an affiliate organization and your registration fee will be applied to the rescheduled conference or NCBJ will refund pro rata or in full the registration fees, at NCBJ’s discretion and option.
Use of Likeness
By participating in the 2024 NCBJ conference, each registrant grants the NCBJ the right to record, film, Livestream, photograph or capture their likeness in any media now available or hereafter developed and to distribute, broadcast, use or otherwise disseminate, in perpetuity, such media without any further approval from the registrant or any payment to the registrant. This grant to NCBJ includes, but is not limited to, the right to edit such media, the right to use the media alone or together with any other information, and the right to allow others to use or disseminate the media.
Code of Conduct
NCBJ values the participation of each member of the insolvency community and endeavors to deliver an engaging, collaborative, fulfilling experience. Conference participants are expected to conduct themselves with integrity, courtesy, and respect for others with a high level of professionalism at all conference programs and events. Be kind to others. Each registrant acknowledges and agrees that NCBJ reserves the right to remove them from the event if NCBJ determines, in its sole discretion, that their participation or behavior is disruptive or hinders the event or the enjoyment of the event by other attendees. Any person who is removed under this policy will be responsible for any damages resulting from their inappropriate conduct. Participants may not record, broadcast, or video sessions at the NCBJ conference. Participants asked to stop engaging in behavior unacceptable to NCBJ are expected to comply immediately. Violations of the Code of Conduct may be reported to any NCBJ conference staff member or by email to team@ncbj.org. NCBJ, at its sole discretion, may involve the U.S. Marshals, who provide protective service for the federal judges participating in the NCBJ conference, in the handling of reported violations. NCBJ may remove any individual from attendance or other participation in any conference program or activity, without prior warning or refund, if in the judgment of NCBJ, a violation of the Code of Conduct has occurred.
