Bios:
The Honorable Ashley Austin Edwards has served as a United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Western District of North Carolina since September 16, 2024. Prior to assuming office, Judge Edwards practiced for 14 years at Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP where she was a partner and the practice group leader for the Financial Restructuring and Insolvency Group.
Hon. Christopher J. Panos has served as a United States Bankruptcy Judge for the District of Massachusetts since 2015. He served as Chief Judge from 2018 through 2022 and sits on the Bankruptcy Appellate Panel for the First Circuit. Judge Panos serves as a member of the Judicial Conference Committee on the Administration of the Bankruptcy System (2022 – ) and is an appointed member of the Artificial Intelligence Task Force for the United States Courts (2025 – ). Prior to his appointment to the bench, Judge Panos practiced at Craig and Macauley in Boston for more than twenty-five years and served as its Managing Director until 2014, when attorneys at that firm joined Partridge Snow & Hahn LLP to open its Boston office.

Kizzy Jarashow is a partner in Goodwin Procter LLP’s Financial Restructuring practice in New York and represents debtors, creditors, sponsors, special-situations investors and other stakeholders in all aspects of complex corporate restructurings, workouts and distressed-debt investments and acquisitions. She has represented clients in a variety of industries, including energy, retail, technology, manufacturing, life sciences, health care, automotive, media, hospitality and gaming, education, financial services and real estate. She has also written extensively on restructuring-related topics, including articles published by the Norton Journal of Bankruptcy Law and Practice, the ABI Journal and ABI committee newsletters, INSOL International, and the International Bar Association’s Insolvency and Restructuring International section. Ms. Jarashow is actively involved in pro bono matters, having worked extensively in areas of voting rights, LGBTQ+ rights and public benefits. In recognition of her work, she has been recognized by the Legal 500 US, was selected as a Rising Star in Bankruptcy by Super Lawyers and as a member of the International Insolvency Institutes’ NextGen Leadership Program and the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges’ Next Generation Program. Ms. Jarashow is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, and serves on the boards of the International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation and ABI Valcon.

Meredith King is an insolvency attorney at Franklin Soto Leeds LLP in San Diego, California, representing clients in Chapter 11 restructurings and complex Chapter 7 proceedings. She was previously the career law clerk for the Hon. Margaret M. Mann and is currently co-chair of the California Lawyers Association’s Insolvency Law Committee, frequently speaking and writing on insolvency topics.

Matt Frank is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal’s Turnaround & Restructuring practice in Chicago, advising companies, lenders, and creditors on in- and out-of-court restructurings. He focuses on strategy, liquidity, cost reduction, and capital solutions. Most recently, he served as Co‑Chief Restructuring Officer of Omnicare (Chapter 11, N.D. Texas—Dallas) and serves on certain of A&M’s internal Technology and AI committees.
