Kerong Jin

Kerong Jin is a second-year law student at Loyola Law School, Los Angeles. During the summer of 2024, she externed for the Honorable Sandra Klein, where she developed a keen interest in bankruptcy law. Before law school, Kerong earned her business degree from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and passed the Chinese bar exam. She then spent two years as a litigation associate at Chinese law firms. Driven by her passion for law, she moved to the United States to advance her legal career. As a first-generation law student and a committed advocate for gender equality, Kerong is dedicated to making a meaningful impact in the legal field. 

Timothy Huynh

Timothy (“Tim”) Huynh is a rising 2L at Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Tim is originally from Dallas, Texas, and graduated from Texas A&M University with a double major in political science and communication. Upon graduation from Texas A&M, Tim was the sole nominee from Texas A&M’s Department of Communication and Journalism to be selected and inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Chapter of Texas. As the son of refugees and a member of the Asian and LGBTQ community, Tim is actively involved in student life at Drexel Kline Law to advance DE&I. Through the NCBJ’s Fellowship Program, Tim had the rewarding opportunity this summer to intern in the chambers of the Honorable Ashely M. Chan, U.S. Chief Bankruptcy for the E.D. of Pennsylvania.

Nisat Chowdhury

I am originally from Boston. In undergrad, I majored in East Asian Studies, with an English and philosophy minor. Before law school, I taught English in China and then worked in financial tech. I am currently interning with Judge Fisher in Saint Paul, MN. I have enjoyed my time learning about bankruptcy law so much that I plan to take a business restructuring class on Chapter 11 bankruptcy in the spring to learn even more.

Bavleen Kaur Seerha

Bavleen Kaur Seerha is a 2L at Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. She interned for Judge Singleton at the Bankruptcy Court of the Northern District of Indiana this summer through the Just the Beginning Pipeline Program and is grateful to the NCBJ for their help. This Fall, Bavleen will be involved in the Indiana Law Review, Moot Court, and serve as Vice Co-Chair of the IU Student Outreach Clinic. Passionate about litigation, she aspires to clerk for a federal judge one day along with seeking bankruptcy-related employment opportunities in the future.

Josiah Edouard

Josiah is a rising 3L JD/MBA Haitian-Trinidian from Brooklyn, NY. This prior summer, Josiah interned with the Honorable Judge Jil Mazer-Marino in the Eastern District of New York. Josiah worked in consulting before law school at a top 5 consulting firm and would like to work on out-of-court restructuring deals post-law school. Josiah enjoys playing chess, poker, and a well-regulated game called Uno in his spare time. Also, Josiah loves to travel and try hot wings in the 30+ countries he has been to.
