Hon. Eamonn J. O’Hagan

Eamonn J. O’Hagan was sworn in as a United States Bankruptcy Judge for the District of New Jersey on February 17, 2026.

Judge O’Hagan earned his undergraduate degree, with highest honors, from Rutgers College in 2001 and his law degree, magna cum laude, from Boston College Law School in 2004. Judge O’Hagan clerked for the Honorable William G. Young, U.S.D.J., in the District of Massachusetts and served as Senior Bankruptcy Counsel at the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of New Jersey. Prior to joining the U.S. Attorney’s Office in 2015, Judge O’Hagan was a bankruptcy attorney in private practice in New York City.
