MONARCH SCHOOL SAN DIEGO

Monarch School San Diego (Monarch) is a public-private partnership between the nonprofit Monarch School Project and the San Diego County Office of Education serving approximately 300 K-12 unhoused and housing unstable youth each year. In addition to providing an academic education, Monarch places a strong emphasis on financial literacy, life-skills education, and social-emotional support designed to meet students’ basic needs-including food, health care, counseling, transportation, and family support. Monarch strives to equip students with practical tools to build independence, stability, and long-term success.

Our 2026 NCBJ Public Outreach Project will support Monarch students by raising funds for individual student needs, including school supplies, basic clothing items, and essential toiletries—while also advancing Monarch’s mission to empower students through education, dignity, and opportunity.
