Hon. Jonathan W. Jordan

Hon. Jonathan W. Jordan joined the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Georgia on Monday, September 22, 2025.

Judge Jordan was been a lawyer for 33 years, 22 years with the Atlanta-based law firm of King & Spalding. After graduating from Samford University and Vanderbilt Law School, Judge Jordan worked for the law firm of Weil Gotshal in Houston, TX. Prior to appointment, Judge Jordan advised several Middle East clients on Saudi and UAE bankruptcy laws.

Judge Jordan authored the NY Times best seller Brother, Rivals, Victors, as well as American Warlords, Lone Star Navy, and, as coauthor with his daughter Emily, The War Queens. His newest book, Ike and Winston, will be released in May 2026. In addition, he writes book reviews for The Wall Street Journal.
