Radel Appointed to Bench in ND New York

Patrick G. Radel has been appointed as a United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Northern District of New York in Albany. He replaces Judge Diane Davis.

Mr. Radel is a partner at Getnick Livingston Atkinson & Priore, LLP, located in Utica, New York. Prior to joining the firm in 2004, Mr. Radel served as a law clerk to Judge William M. Skretny of the Western District of New York. Mr. Radel has extensive bankruptcy law and litigation experience, and has represented creditors in a broad range of commercial and consumer cases.

Mr. Radel is a frequent panelist and speaker at bankruptcy law-related courses, a past president of the Central New York Bankruptcy Bar Association, and a founding member of the Standing Local Rules Committee for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of New York.

Mr. Radel is a summa cum laude graduate of the University at Buffalo School of Law and also a summa cum laude graduate of the University at Buffalo.

Mr. Radel will officially assume his duties on June 1, 2023, in a private ceremony.
