Hon. Hilary Mohr
Hilary Mohr is a Bankruptcy Judge for the Western District of Washington sitting in Tacoma. Hilary began her law career in private practice at a mid-sized Seattle law firm, Riddell Williams P.S., where she worked for approximately eight years in a practice focused on creditors’ rights and bankruptcy. She moved to federal service in 2016 by joining the DOJ U.S. Trustee Program as a Trial Attorney in Seattle and was promoted to Assistant U.S. Trustee in August 2024. During her two years as AUST, Hilary supervised all UST activities in three judicial districts. She was appointed to the bench in September 2026. Hilary earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington and graduated summa cum laude from Seattle University School of Law. She has two children, aged 16 and 12, two Scottish Deerhounds, and a husband of 23 years.
