Tenth Circuit Appoints New BankruptcyJudge in Utah

The United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit has appointed Peggy Hunt to the bankruptcy bench for the District of Utah, effective Friday, March 10, 2023. Judge Hunt succeeds Judge R. Kimball Mosier.

Judge Hunt was previously the co-managing shareholder of the Salt Lake City office of
the global law firm, Greenberg Traurig, LLP. She is a Fellow in the American College of
Bankruptcy and an American Bar Association Fellow. She was appointed to serve on the
Utah Securities Commission. Judge Hunt also served as President of numerous
professional and community organizations, including the Utah Bar Foundation, Women Lawyers of Utah, the Utah Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, Utah Women’s Forum, and the Board of Advisors for the Utah Museum of Natural History. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
